Scouting is not only for the youngest of our community – it provides excellent training and development opportunities for our adult volunteers – all of whom undertake First Aid training so that they are well equipped to support our Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers if the need arises – and to help anyone else in need of First Aid attention in an accident or medical emergency.
This training needs updating every three years. The courses are practical and good fun too. You never know when you might need to put this knowledge into use and you’ll be glad that you’ve brushed up your skills.
So, all you Leaders out there, check your training logs and First Aid cards to see if your certification is in date. If not, or if it will expire soon, contact Chris Charlton to get booked onto the Emergency Aid course (Saturday 4th February) or the Practical First Aid (running over Saturday and Sunday, 4th-5th February).

when is the next first aid course?
Dave
Hi Dave – Chris (LTM) is hoping to arrange another date in April or May – may not be fixed yet but I’ll forward you comment to her. Chris also wrote, “Well done to the 19 Leaders who Well done to the 19 Leaders who completed their Emergency Aid / Outdoor First Aid certificate in February. It was an enjoyable, informative course that was well received by all.” Cheers to all, Jo (ADC-GD).
