1. The Show : Entertainment needed!

    Olivia and her team are looking for Scouts with talent you’ve seen SuBo, you’ve seen Diversity and SpellBound its time for Ormskirk District to hit the stage.  Songs, dances, sketches, performances – all are welcome! From Cubs right through to Leaders, (which includes the Scouts and Explorers!), we’re looking for a variety of acts and we hope you can rehearse before the big performance on Saturday 25th.
    Please pass any ideas to your leaders and practice, practice, practice.  Let us know your ideas as soon as they are being formed. Good Luck.

  2. Countdown to Gathering 2010

    Summer ias most definitely upon us a before too long we’ll be but a short time away from the Ormskirk District Gathering 2010.  All leaders should have the initial information about the camp with initial numbers requested by the 4th July.  The date of the Gathering this year is the 24th-26th September 2010 – Hope to see you there!

  3. Getting to Bibbys Farm

    Bibbys LocationOne comment we’ve heard a couple of times is that not everyone knows how to get to Bibbys Farm. So to help, we’ve produced this map showing easy to follow directions:

    Or use your fantastic navigation skills with the grid reference SD 603168.

    Remember, if possible try to share transport to and from the site! It would also be really, really useful if Groups could arrange to meet cars as parents are dropping off to allow a smooth flow of traffic.

  4. Bibbys Farm Scout Campsite confirmed for 2010

    After the great performance of the site in 2009 The Ormskirk District Gathering will return to Bibby’s in 2010. 

    The Gathering Team really enjoyed the experience of the site last year and we hope this year will prove to be another success..  Some of the main benefits for the event include:

    • Purpose built climbing walls – both indoor and outdoor!
    • Pre-built aerial runway & assault course
    • Grass sledges & pedal cars.
    • Appropriate space for car parking & two-way access to the site (!!)

    The Gathering Team appreciate that the event will require further travel by some groups in the District, but assure the Sections that the event will be worth the extra distance!
